Located about 69 miles north of Aswan, & 41 miles north of Kom Ombo. The word Edfu is ancient; it means the Bathlamies built a temple in there considered to be one of the most wonderful remaining temples in Egypt.It is considered one of the oldest cities in Egypt. It is also called long ago_ the city of the falcon Horas, as they worshiped the falcon there.
